In every direction from this vantage at the statistical heart of the volume, the same scene unfolds: a three-dimensional fog of warm amber points suspended in deep indigo-black, each one a galaxy or cluster of galaxies, their collective light arriving orange-shifted by billions of years of cosmic expansion, assembling in the eye as something that first reads as randomness — the way fireflies appear uniform before pattern emerges from the dark.
